I started to work as an assistant at the Department of Literary Studies at Ghent University in autumn 2018, where I am currently teaching courses on Spanish-American literature and culture. In my PhD project at UGent I explore, from a critical gender perspective, the extractive paradigm and forms of contestation in a selection of literary texts from Peru and Colombia. Before moving to Belgium, I worked as a student assistant at the Department of Latin American Studies at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and the Bavarian Academic Center for Latin America. I studied in Erlangen and La Plata, Argentina, and graduated from an interdisciplinary Master´s program on The Americas/Las Américas. Until recently I had a personal research focus on Paraguayan history and culture and collaborated with independent news services on Latin America.
