I started to work as an assistant at the Department of Literary Studies at Ghent University in autumn 2018, where I am currently teaching courses on Spanish-American literature and culture. My PhD research at UGent focuses on contemporary literature from the Pacific-Andean region that deals with pressure and violence on land, space and territory. Before moving to Belgium, I worked as a student assistant at the Department of Latin American Studies at the University of Erlangen, Germany, and the Bavarian Academic Center for Latin America. I studied in Erlangen and La Plata, Argentina, and graduated from an interdisciplinary Master´s program on The Americas/Las Américas. Until recently I had a personal research focus on Paraguayan history and culture and collaborated with independent news services on Latin America.
