Diego Michiels

Born in Brussels coming from a mixed familiy (Belgian/Peruvian), frequent travels to Peru since then created a strong bond between both continents. In 2011, in parallel with his studies in biology, he started volunteering for the Putumayo non-profit organisation in Belgium, which was the starting point of many activities, engagements and collaborations in the non-profit sector. He graduated in 2019 as a human ecologist at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, after completing a master's thesis on water decontamination on Lake Titicaca, Bolivia.
